TRUE FARM TO CUP
is our farm. We plant, cultivate, process and export our coffee. In New Orleans where we receive our coffee once it is stateside it is roasted, packaged and shipped.
We control every step of the process from start to finish.

on our land by us
Our coffee is harvested from one of two areas. Finca Las Dos Marias is our personal farm spread out over two areas, the coffee farm situated in rich temperate forests of high elevation and our lower farm settled in the foothills of the same mountains. We have a diverse production for local markets consisting of organic limes, avocados, dragon fruit, papayas, oranges, beans, corn, and squash among other local cultivars. We also offer high quality fine cocoa for export.

General FAQs
What makes your coffee special?
- We grow all our coffee under the best conditions...
- We conduct testing to ensure our coffee is free from pathogens and mold
IS your coffee organic?
- Long story short, NO...
- BUT! A few words on the term "Organic". You may not know this but USDA Organic certififcations actually do allow for the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers at certain periods of plant growth and development. The cost for certification is in the thousands of dollars and it simply adds costs on the back end that go to the consumer. We are a very small farm, all varieties are micro-lots and this makes the additional costs of Organic Certification impractical. Our farming practices exceed all USDA and EU organic requirements. We NEVER use pesticides or artifical chemicals for fertilizers. This makes farming a challange. Instead we work with the natural biome in our forrest and reinforce the micro organisms in the soil to allow for the healthiest plant possible. Healthy plants and healthy soil are more able to fight disease and stay producing over a longer life span. We use a variety of natural fertilizers ranging from discarded coffee cherry pulp, to special concoctions using menuer molases and other natural material to feed our plants. We fight bugs with neem seed oil, and other organic matter to deter the pests that want to bother our coffee plants. By nature we are fair-trade and pay our farm-hands and harvesters the highest salaries in the area. We re-forrest, replant and take care of our land. We are bird and animal freindly and host a variety or fauna on our farm.
Where is your coffee processed?
We do it all! After years of sending our coffee to a local mill, where it was getting mixed in with lots from all over the region we built our own mill. After all, we were expending loads of energy in growing it, why not put the same effort in to processing it.
Why Nicaragua?
